    Iberico ham, bunting

    Feestvarken (Party Animal) is a leg of Iberico ham suspended from ceiling with bunting. It will eventually become part of a celebration, and the leftover leg will be cast in polyester resin. It is the second iteration of this work, with the first edition being used as part of a celebration for the artist’s father. In contrast to the aspect of celebration, the leg itself becomes another reminder of ritual slaughter and mortality.
