    In 2010, Dietvorst moves to Ireland. First Impressions follows the seasons and changes in the garden for a year, from the same camera angle.

    “I don’t think I’ve ever learned so much as in these last ten years: living with the seasons, growing vegetables, appreciating weeds, squeezing caterpillars, killing ducks, plucking chickens, snaring rabbits, and driving a tractor. And what it means to live, love and die with nature.”
